Abstract

Blueberry production accounted for 12.53% of the small red fruits yield in Morocco during the growing season 2017-2018. However, this crop is attacked by several enemies that could cause significant economic losses. Therefore, the purpose of this work is to highlight major pests and diseases of this crop and their respective control methods. Many diseases and pests pose serious problems for producers including Botrytis, Oidium, Phytophthora, Drosophila suzukii, midge, thrips and mealybugs. Therefore, their control is essential to ensure excellent production. Orchard sanitation practices can also help reduce the damage of these enemies. Emphasis is also placed on the biological and chemical control methods of certain pests.
